Dr. Jared Kohler, the Founder and Director of The Vital Energy Center, is a genuine, dedicated, and fantastic chiropractor!  He's a graduate of both the University of Florida (1993) and Life Chiropractic University in Atlanta (1999). He has also received advanced training and certification in Applied Kinesiology, a method that uses manual muscle testing to identify the cause and appropriate treatment for wide range of conditions. He is Board Certified with both the National and State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Kohler takes a holistic, diversified approach to chiropractic care. He customizes his treatment plans to meet the needs of each patient, incorporating gentle spinal, cranial, and extremity adjustments, manual muscle testing, spinal traction/disc decompression, neuromuscular rehabilitation, postural awareness and self-care exercises. He excells at helping people recover from automobile accidents and work-related injuries; eliminate headaches, neck pain, and back pain; and, using Applied Kinesiology enhance athletic performance and overall body function. Dr. Kohler believes chiropractic care should extend beyond the office visit. For this reason, he takes the extra time to learn about his patients’ habits and lifestyles and to offer preventative strategies they can use at work and home, including stretches, core strengthening exercises, and relaxation techniques. An active member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, Dr. Kohler attends numerous chiropractic seminars on spinal trauma and rehabilitation, neurology, applied kinesiology, and exercise each year to stay current on cutting-edge research and treatment procedures. He has served as lead kinesiology instructor for Ashmead College’s Fitness Trainer Program and currently teaches elementary school children about spinal health through SELF in Motion, a non-profit after-school wellness program in Seattle.
An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Kohler can often be found climbing the Capitol Hill stairs and walking through Seattle’s parks with his dog Sam-yo.
